IMATS 2014 LA (quick post)

Well I will  use these pictures that I don't know when I uploaded to say that I will be at the IMATS 2014 LA. I'm so excited I have my shopping list all ready and I am counting down the days.

I have looked at the weather report and it is supposed to be in the 70's but it is still 9 days out so hopefully it will be nice.

NEON.... What else can I say

 I purchased some myo pigments on eBay, a few months ago and they were awesome. Then I noticed they also had neon shades and while I don't wear neons often. When you want one its good to have them. Let me tell you these shades do not disappoint. There are allot of pictures of this look because I really like how vibrant it was.

 They were also very bendable it looks like I put four colors on the lid then the blue, but it was three in the lid then the blue. These colors blended together so well they created a different color.

These pigments were reasonably priced, I paid $14. for 10 colors and I am happy I gave them a try. Looking on eBay today the set is $20. But a little goes a long way and I may still want to try other colors they have.

In other makeup news I subscribed to two beauty boxes, ipsy, and test tube. So I should be getting new products on a more regular basis to review, or warn you about. I have been wanting to subscribe to a beauty box but I was nervous. But I have a friend who gets ipsy, and my aunt gets test tube so I'll try it out. They all seem to be easy to cancel if you change your mind. So ill keep you posted.

Blurple lotd

So I did this really simple look with a matte purple and matte blue shadow. I think it was from a wet and wild palette from a fergie eye kit. My lip tar is hoochie ( yes thats the name of the color) from obsessive compulsive cosmetics (occ) There is a brown thorough the crease and a highlight on the brow bone.

 

 

My hair was in a few cornrows over night. I have since dyed my hair, over the next few videos watch as my bangs turn more and more pinkish white. It gets bad before I actually dyed it.

Starting my natural hair journey

So I am beginning a natural hair journey. I plan to avoid heat straightening my hair, try more natural styles, and allot more conditioning in an effort to encourage hair growth. I think the hardest part will be reducing how much I dye my hair. My roots are so grown out already, its killing me! But I have to try.  I have been reading web sites and watching videos on you tube so you can expect to see my hair like this allot more.

For this look I used a green eye shadow for the inner lid and a blue on the outer lid then I blended brown and black through the crease I paired the colors with a nude lip and soft peach blush.

LOTD blue and purple

 

This is a blue and purple look I did with glitter, black liner and lashes. I took this picture later in the day so my lipstick was worn out, i used doll by nyx it is my go to pink.

 

Well I have sworn off buying makeup for 3 months. I went to L.A. and found some stores I only get to go to at the imats. Nigles beauty emporium, and friends beauty supply. I bought some Ben Nye shadows, kryalon shadows, femme blushes, I also did a ton of shopping before my trip. So I am on a freeze until March. It has actually not been difficult at all. It may be since I have had orders coming in the mail. My next post will be a haul of all the things I've gotten lately.

Blue LOTD

Aqua LOTD

So I have been pretty uninspired lately and I've been trolling blogs, you tube, and shopping  in an effort to inspire myself again. Yet in the mean time I have been continuing in my effort to use my bright shadows.

For this look I used a mix of inglot shadows and my 120 palette.

New MIlani color play liner

So to create this look I used a shimmery white eye shadow on the lid a pink thru the crease and Milan's color play liner in blue definition on top of my black liner

I really like this liner, it has good color and is long lasting. The black is also a very good liner. But the pink was very light, almost not worth putting it on. I purchased the grey as well but have not tried it yet. I'll keep you posted. These are fun easy to work with and worth the $6.99 the sell for.

They are limited edition and not sold at every Walgreens so get to your nearest walgreens, or order online soon if you want them.

Blue LOTD

Please do not be afraid, my hair is in it's natural form.

So the color on my lid is a hard candy eyeshadow from walmart, I used it with my new E.L.F. Makeup lock and seal, I used it to foil my eyeshadow. This product is really good I have used makeup forever's eye seal and it does the same thing but makeup forever's eye seal is $20 for a tiny bottle. E.L.F.'s tiny bottle is $3 dollars it includes a tiny container for the liquid and a brush.

Great deal

I ran a little brown thru the crease, and a highlight color on the brow bone. The lipstick color is NYX round lipstick in Snow White.

Blue and Taupe cut crease

So this is a blue and taupe cut crease look I did on my busy weekend, I used my blue loose shadow with MUFE (Makeup forever) eye seal and used it as liner. Also sorry that I did not pull my curls loose before taking the pictures
