Not much makeup this week

Yet I did go out to dinner and did two nice looks for dinner. Went out with some friends Wednesday, and I forgot to take a picture of the makeup I used but I think  I used my naked palette and a purple urban decay 24/7 liner in lust. The lipstick is from sinful colors In royalty.

Wednesday

Thursday

This day I used my tokidoki palette, just something quick for work

Saturday Morning

I used my coastal scents creative me palette #1 to do this look Saturday morning.

Saturday Evening

For dinner saturday evening, I used the same palette to blend the colors upwards and make them darker. I added some lashes, green sephora flashy liner, and cover girls temptress lipstick.
I am trying some different nail stickers, so hopefully I will have a new review soon. I haven't received any requested looks so I'll keep going off of inspiration.
Do you prefer the posts with or without the pictures of the makeup I used?
OK, See ya Monday...

Products I LOVE

Invisible Oil Blocking Loose Powder
I love this powder, on the web site it is $8.95. I think it was less in the store. But still a great price for this product. I love this powder for setting my concealer under my eye. I don't have oily skin, in fact my skin is quite dry. But under my eye and on my lids it always creasing, I blame this on heat or oil, whatever seems to be the case at the time. Yet this powder sets my concealer and usually needs no touch up. I use this to set my under eye foundation/ concealer, whatever happens to be there that day. The best part, it is truly translucent. I often try translucent powders that leave my makeup looking ashen or powdery. This powder blends out to my shade without any changes to my foundation color. This stuff is awesome.

Fix +

So I'm not the biggest mac fan. They are an awesome company I usually buy there foundation and powder. Yet they do not have too many products I cant live without. Except this! I LOVE FIX PLUS(or is it fix+)! $10.00 on the web site. When I first started wearing a full face of makeup I noticed my makeup usually looked better after a few hours, than when I originally put it on. Why? After a few hours my makeup (primarily foundation and powder) looked less powdery like makeup sitting on top of my skin, and more like I have flawless skin. Basically fix plus(+) accelerates this process. A mist of this little dew helps me leave the house with flawless skin. Also in my opinion my makeup lasts longer when I use it vs the days when I don't my makeup seems to  fade a little before the end of the day. A word of caution this is a water based product and if your makeup is not water proof  DON'T MIST IT!! Mascara and liner will run, and strip lashes will come off. Do these after you mist, it will save you a lot of clean up.

This is my go to black gel liner, I don't think its more than $5.00. It is usually on some sort of sale. But you know this stuff is the best because when you go to the store to buy it they are usually cleaned out. It also comes in an eggplant shade that is beautiful. One thing I love about this gel liner is it is the first liner I have ever used to the end before it dried up. If you screw the top on tight and don't keep it in a hot car or anything it should last till you finish it. Good product and great price.

OK I'll stop now, so this is not a monster post.
Have a good rest of the week.

Makeup product fail

SMOLDER EYES
 FAIL!

I did not do much makeup this morning I was called into work early. But I will tell you about the problem I had yesterday with my makeup. I did the smokey Oscar the grouch look. And I wanted heavy liner on the bottom, so I used my black smolder eyes. This liner was rumored to get into your eyes and ruin your contacts. So I did not put it on my water line, I put it below my bottom lashes. That was not a solution to the problem, it some how worked its way into my eyes. I was seeing in a cloud, everything was blurry, and my contacts were suddenly super dry. I had to clean my contacts over 6 times. I was furious. I don't think that anything made for your eyes should have this effect on your vision. What if I was driving, or did not have solution with me. I would not recommend this product to anyone! The worst part is these pencils are so soft and the colors are beautiful. But they are unwearable in my opinion. In case anyone is wondering if it will be better for someone who does not wear contacts, my mom does not wear contacts and got the purple one in her eye and was affected too. It is not only about the contacts. I guess i will try them as an eyeshadow base, I don't want to throw them away. I got the kit pictured above and have them in every color. Oh well... Hopefully this post saves some of you out there from buying these "Eyeliners" to use as an eyeliner.
Tomorrow will be some of my current favorite products.
Until next time....

Oscar The Grouch

This black and green is so kinda grungy to me I took me back to Sesame Street, to Oscar... Last comparison you'd want to make when doing your makeup right? A rude monster that lives in the trash can. Oh well. I'm so feeling Oscar right now since I did not sleep last night. I was feeling dark and grungy this morning. Let me tell you there is not enough coffee in the world.
OK, I'm done on to the look.
I think this picture represents every possible brand... Darn no inglot or wet n wild...
So close!

               MONDAY

Let me tell you the last picture is once I got to work and I totally hate how the rain can ruin a good hair day.
There was a product I used today that is not in the picture that made me crazy, ALL MORNING! Stay tuned for a short favorites list and dislikes of the month.
 So long Monday

Double Rainbow

Thank my friends brother for this name, (Joseph) my nemesis). He looked at it and said double rainbow (Pocket god) and me and my friend knew that was the name. Also we finally got some rain in the bay area, so this is really fitting. I had fun with this look. Taking pictures of my looks has made me notice I get in a rut with colors. Although I use different brands I may use the same colors a few times in a week. So I'm going to attempt to think outside of my box. I will also be taking suggestions and requests. Just bear with me I work a full time job and if it is too artsy for a school day it may have to wait for the weekend. Now:

DOUBLE RAINBOW

Tell me is this picture helpful as to what I used to make this look. I never remember what I used after I put it down. The yellow and pink pots are de potted NYX jumbo pencils in hot pink and yellow. I used the rainbow yellow from inglot. and purple and blue from my 120 palette.

Hope this makes up for my lack of Friday... LOL
Have a great week

This week

This week went by slowly... I'm so excited I ordered a laptop so hopefully I will be able to post more often when I get it. I think my post are a little long when I wait the whole week, and in other fun I'm planning my trip to the imats (international makeup trade show) in   LA, I'm so excited. Here is the link if you have no idea what i'm talking about.
 I'll keep everyone posted.

Anyway on to the looks!

                 TUESDAY

The first picture is of what I used. I used the grey from my Inglot palette and the rainbow blue shadow. I think the only thing I keep forgetting to put in the picture is my fix plus (That I LOVE). Of course and the lashes I'm wearing.

THURSDAY

So this look was done with the Blue in the wet n wild baked palette, White from the sleek acid palette and blue and black from the Kat Von d palette. Thursday was a wig day. I like the instant transformation a wig gives without any commitment or forethought required.

FRIDAY
I was not at all pleased with the pictures of my look on Friday. The winged liner I thought was awesome in person but in the pictures it looked dull. So I'm going to try it again next week. Hopefully it will turn out much better.
Why not share my failures? You all wouldn't show this to anyone else, would you?
Also its past time to visit my eye brows, with the tweezers.

SATURDAY
Today was not a makeup day at all. Just a lazy Saturday. Hopefully ill do much better tomorrow.
 Just stay tuned.

So sorry...

So I was gone this weekend and planed to make a post while I was out of town I even took my camera. Yet I'm not comfortable enough blogging to do it on someone else's computer. Sorry for the hold up...
I was sick last week so I did not do too much makeup. But this is what I did do.

 TUESDAY

Going to the doctor look done with coastal scents fall palette and my favorite drugstore lipstick since I was 16 years old, Jordanas blackberry

Personal question : Have you ever been treated like you were not sick at the doctors office because you had makeup on?

THURSDAY

My morning makeup was sad but this is what I did in the evening, I did it with some mac shadows three ring yellow and blue candy

FRIDAY

I was really on a blue and yellow kick because this was my Friday: Done with my Inglot rainbow shadows the only thing that changed was my lipstick.
The sad part is that I did not notice that I used basically the same colors till I looked back at the pictures.
Oh well none of the same people saw me.

 SUNDAY

\
I used Mac dark indulgence mineral eye shadow with Sephora single shadow in black in the outer v and Milani baked eye shadow in rich java in the crease

Hope you enjoyed my looks of the week.
This is a lot of pictures and I'm wondering if it's too many, What do you think should I break my post up a little more so it's not a full week all at once?

Review

Kiss nail dress                                                                   Sally Hansen Salon effects

                 VS

28 fashion strips                                                                                     16 nail polish strips
$8.00 for two manicures                                                                         $9.00 for one manicure

In the world of nail stickers I am a amateur but I know a good product when I find one.
KISS IS THE WINNER!
They were easy to apply, lasted over a week, and seemed to protect my nails during the week.
The Salon effects were thin and tore when I tried to stretch them like the directions said. Also they were chipping the second day,  the picture of the sally Hansen stickers was after one day. The picture of the kiss stickers was at the end of five days when it occurred to me how well they were holding up.

Now this post is really long...
